Thrie-Beam
Thrie Beam Highway Guardrails are three-wave shaped steel barriers designed for superior strength and enhanced vehicle containment on high-speed roads, bridges, and other high-risk areas. They absorb impact energy and redirect errant vehicles, significantly improving road safety. All guardrails and hardware meet or exceed AASHTO Specifications and made in the United States.
- Superior Strength: The three-wave (Thrie) design provides higher impact endurance and structural integrity compared to traditional two-wave (W-beam) guardrails, making them ideal for high-volume and high-speed traffic areas.
- Enhanced Safety: They are designed to contain and redirect a wide range of vehicles, from standard cars to large trucks and buses, minimizing the risk of crossover accidents, severe injuries, and fatalities.
- Durable Materials: Typically manufactured from high-strength steel (e.g., Q235, Q345) and finished with heavy hot-dip galvanization or PVC coating for excellent corrosion resistance and a long service life of up to 40 years to 50 years.
- Effective Energy Absorption: The continuous corrugated structure and supporting posts work together to absorb collision energy, reducing the shock transferred to the vehicle and guiding it safely along the barrier.
- Versatile Application: Suitable for roadside and central divider applications, especially in areas with specific geometric challenges, such as curves or bridge approaches, due to their excellent line of sight induction and adaptability.
- Standards Compliance: Manufactured to meet rigorous international safety standards and specifications, including AASHTO M180, EN 1317, and MASH TL-4 criteria.
